NOLA Brewing to release Krewe of Muses Brew for Carnival Season

NOLA Brewing’s Best Selling Beer Raises Funds for Krewe of Muses Foundation

New Orleans, LA (December 2, 2015): The Krewe of Muses is a crowd favorite across the city and at NOLA Brewing. So when it came time to make a Mardi Gras beer, who better to partner with than the ladies of Muses? NOLA Brewing’s Muses ale is launching on December 10th and will be available during the Carnival season. A portion of all sales is going to support the Krewe of Muses Foundation.

“This is our second year honoring the lovely ladies of Muses with a great carnival beer,” says Kirk Coco, CEO and owner of NOLA Brewing. “Last year was such a success, it is still the best selling beer we have created to date.”

Mardi Gras is a celebration for the masses, so NOLA Brewing brewed Muses to be a beer for the masses. A Belgian-style ale, light on the palate with low bitterness, select American hops providing a mild citrus edge to the traditional Belgian yeast flavor and aroma. Notably, Muses is a full-flavored session beer (4.4% ABV) so it can be enjoyed all parade long, whether from the float or from the street.

“We are pleased to partner again with NOLA Brewing to release the Muses Ale for the upcoming 2016 Carnival Season,” said Krewe of Muses Captain Staci Rosenberg. “While enjoying your Muses Ale out on the parade route and at all of your Mardi Gras celebrations, everyone can feel good knowing that a portion of the sales benefits the Muses Foundation.”

A launch party will be held in the NOLA Brewing Tap Room on Thursday, December 10th. Members of Muses and friends are encouraged to join the NOLA Brewing team in the NOLA Brewing Tap Room for the launch, which will feature photo booths and the debut of the Muses tap handle for the season!

Also available will be NOLA Brewing’s annual beers such as the NOLA Blonde, Hopitoulas, 7th Street Wheat, Rebirth Pale Ale, NOLA Brown, Irish Channel Stout and Mecha.
